Stephen Lett - Member of Governing Body about Child Abuse at Jehovah's Witnesses

Stephen Lett comment on tv.jw.org broadcasting about actual accusations of child abuse handling in the organization, some of them in court cases:

“Another way we can contribute to the oneness: rejecting false stories that are designed to separate us from Jehovah’s organization. As an example, think about the apostate-driven lies and dishonesties that Jehovah’s organization is permissive toward pedophiles. I mean, that is ridiculous, isn’t it! If anybody takes action against someone who would threaten our young ones, and takes action to protect our young ones, it is Jehovah’s organization. We reject outright such lies.”

Well said, our governing body is composed of not a couple of honest people, but all of them are and because of their right heart condition they were appointed by the Holy Spirit and none of them will allow that crime in our organization to go without being brought to justice.

  3. A JEHOVAH’S Witness has been found not guilty of five indecent assaults.

David Burridge, also known as Martin, was alleged to have committed four offences against a young girl between 1975 and 1983 and one against a male child between 1999 and 2001.

He had strongly denied the charges against him, and at the conclusion of a trial at Bournemouth Crown Court this week was found unanimously not guilty on all counts.

When questioned about the allegations made by the female, Mr Burridge, 62, of Station Road in Alderholt, said: “That is a lie.”
